(E-10): EAAAaaa......La última vez que una película de "Resident Evil"...su protagonista ALICE....liberó unos prisioneros / sobrevivientes del T-VIRUS OUTBREAK que habían sido capturados y transportados a un buque tanque perteneciente a la Corporación Umbrella para ser sometidos a some nasty experimental sh1T...wait a minute...tráfico ilegal de humanos disfrazado con SCI-FI?....Social commentary en un RE FILM?..hehehehe...Anyway, esa 4TA película..."RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE" terminó con un cliffhanger en el que sus protagonistas esperaban un AERIAL ASSAULT por parte de una flota de helicópteros enviados por Umbrella, para iniciar "THE FIGHT OF THEIR LIVES"....Ohhhh yeeeesss... IT'S THE RETURN OF....THE EVIL....El MARKETING de por lo menos aquello que esta bajo la...eh...umbrella....de "RESIDENT EVIL" como dicen por ahí...is at full swing, pues correteando por esa web...está el TEASER TRAILER de la 5TA ENTREGA de la serie de películas basadas en el video juego de CAPCOM..."RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION" (y eso, disssque las películas suckean...según los "critics"...pero se echan...casi na'... $675,775,409 DOLARES EN ESE BOX OFFICE ACCOUNT..)...un avance que sigue la línea del teaser para "RE: APOCALYPSE" y "RE: EXTINCTION"....osea, trailers que mas bien parecen comerciales ...especialmente el de "RETRIBUTION"....que no es otra cosa que un comercial de SONY....y a lo shopping mall en "DAWN OF THE DEAD" (REMAKE)...presentando nuestro mundo capitalista / consumerista...whatever...antes de que a través de un efecto de edición....se nos presente el F(k3d up ZOMBIE PLAGUED WORLD que todos conocemos y amamos......y este capítulo prometiendo ser un fan pleaser...o por lo menos así ha operado el director PAUL W.S. ANDERSON quien para la 5TA RE, ha interactuado con los seguidores...if I remember correctly, via TWITTER etc...para recibir input sobre lo que deseaban ver en "Retribution" y...parece que el input paid off....Este chapter no solo incluirá personajes que hace tieeeeeeeeepo debieron estar en el MOVIE TIMELINE de RE...también veremos el regreso de personajes las entregas anteriores a lo "FAST FIVE"....pero no esperen los personajes de Chris y Claire Redfield...al igual que a K-MART...no saldrán en RE 5...pero sus ausencias se explicarán......RIK?
(RIKI LEE): Well, this duo opened 2012 with a bang. Both "Resident Evil: Retribution" and "Resident Evil 6" coming out around the same time means the outbreak of fans will be hitting the stores and the game shops like zombies closing in for the kill. Now, the storyline still continuing the end of mankind due to the "OUTBREAK", The 5TH MOVIE STARTS right where "RE: Afterlife" left off...Alice and company are about to face an UMBRELLA AIR ASSAULT headed towards the Arcadia tanker, and as seen in the movie trailer there is a few new creatures to be seen up and about but what impressed the hell outta me is the fact that ALICE, played by Milla Jovovich (in picture below left) is standing on top of the Whitehouse as the cam backs up showing that Washington area in ruins..(meaning the entire world's gone to hell...)
Also appearing in the trailer and film, are fan favorites Ada Wong...and FINALLY...after a looong campaign of BEGGING....LEON S. KENNEDY (unbelievable...5 FILMS for this guy to show up) plus the return of both Michelle Rodriguez and Colin Salmon both from the 1rst RE FILM as Umbrella Agents Rain Ocampo and James Shade respectively...and both sent into THE HIVE to investigate the initial outbreak, as well as well as to die during that mission....also...S.T.A.R.S. Carlos Olivera (last seen...eh getting blown up in "RE: Extinction") is back along side with Basketball Star Luther West (last seen running in the sewers at the end of "Afterlife"), newcomer to the film franchise is the character of Barry Burton....and of course, an Umbrella mind controlled JILL VALENTINE (last seen directing the Umbrella air assault at the end of "Afterlife") + Albert Wesker (yes...he IS BACK). All this plus the fact that is hitting us in full glorious 3D could be a great start to the end of the series...or is it? (E-10): Un impresionante BOX OFFICE 1RST weekend para "RE: AFTERLIFE", pretty much garantizó a "Retribution"...y creo que con esta reunión de personajes (muertos) entregas anteriores...los cuales de seguuuuuro aparecerán por la via del flashback...la aparición de Leon Kennedy...el regreso de Jill Valentine etc...un "RE: 6"...is pretty much GREEN LIGHTED si "RETRIBUTION" hace un buen 1R$$$T WEEKEND...Creo que hay mucho por explicar...de hecho, el avance de "Retribution"...muestra a Alice en lo que parece ser un flashback PRE-HIVE...y de seguro esto será un flaskback infested film, por ende la aparición de Michelle Rodríguez...a menos que ella haya sido clonada al igual que Alice (si mano...se las sacan de donde sea)....y aparezca resurrected a lo "FAST FIVE"en PRESENT TIME...well see.
As for the upcoming videogame..."Resident Evil 6" finally has an official...AND IMPRESSIVE trailer for the game that's sporting a fresh new graphic engine and full of characters from previous games, running the 3rd person view from RE 4 and RE 5, this game shows (along side with the movie counterpart)....THAT THE WORLD HAS GONE TO HELL. The Story Follows BOTH the Leon and Chris Redfield characters as they try to save the world once again.
Not much really is revealed in the game trailer, but one thing can be said to sum it all up....
"IT'S RACOON CITY, ALL OVER AGAIN"!!!!...'nuff said..Infecting the gamestores for PS3/XBOX360. NOVEMBER 20 / 2012...
"RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION"....starring Milla Jovovich ("THE 5TH ELEMENT"), Michelle Rodríguez
